Campaign of the Month: August 2012
Sacred Oval of Henge
The party will approach The Sacred Oval of Henge from the west. As they cross a rise, they will see the massive stone fingers pointing to the sky. Behind them they will see a river snaking from the east and turning south east near the oval. In the distance the land rises to tall mountains. Weather is overcast but dry. Dark rainclouds approach from the east.
The five-fingered stand on top of the smooth flat central oval stone is obviously a resting place for the Heart of the Dracolich. Describe the gentle slope toward the river, the bend in the river, the marshy land nearby and the row of trees stretching northward from the north of the river bend.
When the characters are able to act, a storm will already be underway, rain, thunder and lightning will abound, and a hollow SUCKING sound will emanate from all around with some sort of wind energy dissipating from the earth into the sky. In the first round of the characters being able to move, a lighting bolt will strike the HEART OF THE DRACOLICH and it will disappear.
As soon as Set is visible, the party is also visible to him and he immediately realises something is wrong. ROLL INITIATIVE!
